As we continue our ICT module, we have been introduced to wikis. As many of you will already know, a wiki is similar to a blog. The main difference is that a wiki can be edited by the author or others and a blog cannot. Again we decided to ‘have a go’ at creating a wiki and since our blog is about life at uni we thought we would base our wiki on things to do in Ayrshire. The Refectory April 10, 2009
The Refectory has a good choice of food and drinks at reasonable prices. The only downfall is the lack of alcohol (only kidding!). Alcohol can be found in the Student Union bar. We don’t have a picture of the Union but have added a picture of the Refectory. The Union has a pool table and plays music channels all day, so we like to go in after a hard day for a wee drink and a chat. The food is also reasonable.
The Mac Lab April 7, 2009
The Mac Lab is solely for the use of Education students, as Mac computers are the most commonly used computers in schools in this area (Ayrshire). This is where we have been creating our blog! The lab also contains a Promethean board which is great for practise before venturing out into schools to use them. The uni also has a Smart Board which is located in the Maths department.

The Lecture Theatre April 6, 2009
The lecture theatre is where most of our classes take place and lectures normally last for 50 minutes or 1 hour 40 minutes.
